Dual Screen Setup with Dell P2524HE Monitors
The Dell P2524HE monitor has a built-in docking station. This allows you to use a single USB-C cable for multiple screens, USB connectivity and charging
Out of the box, the screen connectivity ports are incorrectly blocked to enable dual screens. To setup the screen to output to a second display:
1) Unbox the screen and connect to base and stand
2) Locate the Orange connector in the back of the screen. This is the port required. Move the orange connector to the next DisplayPort port.
3) Plug the supplied USB-C cable into the USB-C port on the back of the screen. This cable will go to your laptop
4) Plug the supplied Display Port cable from the now free DisplayPort socket to the second screen
5) Plug the supplied USB cable into the USB-A port on the main screen, and the USB-B socket on the second screen (if available the Dell P2524H has one)
6) Plug any additional USB devices, such as Webcam or Soundbar into free USB ports. If Step 5 was performed, these devices can be plugged into ports on either monitor.
7) Turn the screens on. An onscreen setup wizard will show. Complete the wizard as required.
8) Plug the USB-C cable into your laptop. No other cables, including your power cable, is needed.
